I put kevlar strips in the tires when I first bought it, I had a flat two blocks from the store where I bought it. I had a computer put on it, saddle bags and lights before I rode it out of the store. It's hauled a lot of groceries. I estimate I have over 6000 miles on it. I had to replace the Nexus 3 spd, a few years ago. Other than that, it's been a good bike.
as a over the road truck driver its great to relax and cruise the city or country I find my self in. Couldn't be happier with the way the bike performs, not to mention the complements I get on bike.
We also bought his and hers Electra Super Deluxe models in spring of 2009 and we both have been thrilled with the bikes to date. They are extremely comfortable to ride and light enough to travel with. The Flat Foot Technology (pedal forward design) is not only modern and innovative, it's extremely practical and comfortable. The Super Deluxe models are well equipped with the inclusive rear rack, Nexus 3i, and great paint schemes--never a ride without numerous compliments. I like the bikes so much that I recently bought my wife a Gypsy for this upcoming Mother's Day and can't wait to give it to her--she loves the styling elements. I'm also on the hunt for a Straight 8 for myself...I have feeling our collection of these awesome bikes will not stop there either.
This is by far the most comfortable bike I have ever owned. My wife and I bought his and hers Super Deluxe models and we just love them. The pedal forward design makes for a very comfortable ride and the light weight frame makes it easy to steer. The great sales experience we had with Landis made the decision an easy one. They were very helpful and willing to take the time to help us understand the different aspects of the of recreational cycling. If you are thinking of getting a Cruiser.... Consider this one.
