Just a quick post to let you know the dates of the 2012 Wydaho Rendezvous Festival are July 27th – 29th. TVTAP has hired WGW Events to head up the marketing and event planning so this year’s festival is sure to be HUGE! Not to mention Fitzgerald’s relocation to Teton Valley being a plus for the festival! For quick and timely updates become a Fan of the Festival Facebook Page. Sounds great. Sign me up! Red Bell is making a splash at the Village this year with it’s Final Descent Series. It’s a 12 hour race this Saturday, mixing endurance with downhill adrenaline: two of a Jacksonite’s favorite things. If you aren’t into riding the race, you can always enjoy the after party at Nick Wilson’s.

Last fall Fitzgerald’s Bicycles was happy to find out that he could find someone to haul his old (heavy) monitors 4 miles to the recycling center. If you want to see this video on the big screen, be sure to check out the last Bike-In Movie tonight!

In addition, Fitzy’s will be donating a Haro Cruiser to the raffle! Beers under the stars, delicious brews, winning a cruiser, watching kids ride bicycles to save E.T. from the po-lice? Yeah, those dinner plans can be pushed back a day or two.

The Friends of Pathways bring us once again to the pathways to enjoy what we shouldn’t take for granted. The work involved to make, and to continually expand our pathway system should never go without celebration!

What: 12th Annual Pathways Celebration
Where: National Museum of Wildlife Art
When: 10:30 to 2:00pm, August 7th

10:30 – 11:45am
FAMILY RIDE along the new North 89 pathway. Ride will start at the National Museum of Wildlife Art upper parking area, ride to the “Welcome to Grand Teton National Park” turnout and back to Museum for lunch.

12:00 – 2:00pm
FREE COMMUNITY LUNCH AND PATHWAY CELEBRATION – hosted by the National Museum of Wildlife Art and Friends of Pathways. Music by Anne & Pete Sibley.

Adam and Christy Coppola are well on their way to be the first people to complete a self-supported bike tour hitting all 50 states in one calendar year. All the while, they are raising awareness for charities like World Bicycle Relief and Achilles International.

9:30am DH race training runs start

10am Beginner RipStoke clinic in Driggs (pre-registration is ideal)

10:45am DH race starts at Grand Targhee Resort

12pm Beginner group ride – Tetonia Rail Trail

2pm Beginner (Sheep’s Bridge), intermediate (Horseshoe Loops), women’s (Horseshoe Loops) and DH group rides

Intermediate RipStoke clinic in Victor (pre-registration is ideal)

4pm DH race awards at Grand Targhee Resort

5pm Saturday night party opens in Driggs with food vendors, raffles, auctions, bike shenanigans and more beer
