This isn’t your normal type of competition – this one makes sense. Ever notice how at the end of a kickball game, you realize everyone’s goal is still to run in a circle. Yeah – that makes tons of sense.
The Friends of Pathways Commuter Choice Challenge encourages individuals to use human powered transit instead of using a car. In fact, if you aren’t riding to accomplish a goal that you would usually do in a car, as in day-to-day activities or commuting to work, you can’t earn points. So riding around the block or up Cache Creek won’t add miles to your tally.
