Tom Ritchey Visits Fitzgerald’s!

A guy walks into a bike shop looking to fix a spoke.  No not a joke.  Not your average customer looking to fix a broken spoke either, that’s for sure!  We were lucky enough to have the father of Mountain Biking, Tom Ritchey (sure, there are a few Fathers of Mountain Biking) hang at the shop the other day while in Jackson for a visit.  Amazingly Jannine happened to ride up on her Ritchey Ti Cross Breakaway while he was out front.  Lately Tom has been heavily involved with Project Rwanda that is helping bring positive change to that country through the bicycle.  Nice work Tom!

Blacks and Willow Creek

The report on Black’s Canyon yesterday was that there were multiple trees down from the last wind event.  Be aware of blind corners and the possibility of a tree being across the trail.

It sounds as if Willow Creek needs a little more time to dry out in spots.  Please walk to super muddy sections.

The Love Shack Reaches the Finish Line of The Great Divide!

Once again the Petervarys have inspired us all with an amazing effort!  Yes, they successfully finished the Tour Divide 2009!  Details are still sketchy so we don’t have an official time yet but we do know that the Petervary’s are safely on the way back to Jackson!  I’ll post more asap!
