Local Road Challenge

  • Hach's Corner 43.806371, -111.110871 (map)

Kait Boyle has partnered with Fitzgerald’s Bicycles to bring her Valley Road Project to you -- featuring the Local Road Challenge. For the next 3 weeks, May 18 - June 6, we are challenging you to go out and ride one or both of the gravel routes in Teton Valley.

The 83-mile and 47-mile routes highlight Kait’s favorite roads and routes from her project of riding all the roads in Teton County.

The goal is to discover new roads, terrain, and views that you may have never thought to explore.

In addition Pivot Cycles, Industry Nine and Fitzgerald’s Bicycles will contribute swag for completing and participating in the challenge. To enter the prize drawing just join the Strava Club Idaho Untamed, opt-in on one or both of the events, and ride the course!

1 entry for the 47 and 2 for the 83-mile course!

To further participate, share images from your ride to Instagram and Facebook and tag #FitzgeraldsBicycles #PivotCycles #myi9 #ValleyRoadProject #LocalRoadChallenge for a chance to win more swag!

HELPFUL TIPS & RULES:

  • You must ride the exact route.

  • Recommended starting spot: Hatch's Corner: 43.806371, -111.110871

  • If you leave the route for any reason, you must enter at the same spot.

  • For best results study the route course and navigate using it while riding.

  • Course files for all devices are available on RideWithGPS.

  • The Gravel Perimeter runs clockwise, while the North Valley Gravel Challenge is a counterclockwise loop.

  • There are very few options for potable water along the 83-mile route. A water filter is recommended.

  • Bear spray isn’t a bad idea either.

We’re looking forward to seeing your rides and achievement.

Good Luck!
